UPDATES

The Monroe Botanical Garden is moving forward, with key steps already underway.  Follow the progress of the Monroe Botanical Garden as we move from vision to reality.

Planning & Design

We are working with two design firms to create a comprehensive, community-informed master plan.

Community input gathered in January 2026 is already shaping the design and guiding the vision for the garden.

Site Preparation

Some buildings are staying and will be renovated to meet the needs of the Monroe Botanical Garden programming.

Some building demolition is underway, with visible progress on clearing existing structures.

Some buildings are being relocated for reuse elsewhere, while others will be removed to prepare the site.

What’s Next

We are building a project budget and preparing for a 2026 fundraising campaign to bring the garden to life.
