The Monroe Botanical Garden will take root at 1311 13th Avenue, reimagining the former site of Ken’s Agriservice and the Monroe Art Market into a new space for nature and community.

Local Voices Heard in a Community Listening Session

“Native prairie plants & wildflowers... could feature artist works and sculpture.”

“Make it interesting & kid friendly.”

“A season-extending structure like a greenhouse means the garden can be a place people will enjoy for a longer part of the year!

“Connect children and young families as well as senior citizens!”

“It would be something new that the community does not already have and could offer many event, activity opportunities.”

“I love plants & gardening so it offers ‘place’ & community!”

Building a legacy, literally from the ground up.
